Scouting Report
Assets: Was ridiculously consistent with the bat. A phenomenal clutch player, he was smooth at short and efficient on the base-paths. His instincts were also first-rate. Had tremendous gap-to-gap power. Always led by example.
Flaws: Always had limited range in the field, which placed extra burden on groundball pitchers. Also made a few too many errors. Generally, he was overrated defensively. Was also a bit of a slow starter early on.
Career Potential: Hall-of-Fame shortstop, premier contact hitter and leader.
