Scouting Report
Assets: Is versatile enough to play first base and all three outfield positions. Has good power and plate discipline, so he takes his walks as well. Also has good pedigree as the son of former MLB outfielder Andy Van Slyke.
Flaws: Isn't as athletic as his father used to be, though he's not bad. Must prove capable of hitting right-handed pitching with consistency at the big-league level in order to play every day (which is a long shot).
Career Potential: Versatile right-handed bat with a little upside.
