Has one of the best outfield arms around and good pop in his bat, capable of hitting a fair amount of home runs. Can also steal bases. Mashes left-handed pitching.
Could stand to improve his walk/strikeout ratio in order to maximize his hitting potential. Generally lacks consistency in all facets of the game.
Solid outfielder with a little upside.

White Sox outfielder Moises Sierra is a career .500 hitter (8-for-16) against Minnesota starter Phil Hughes. | 07/24/2014 10:32 AM
White Sox outfielder Moises Sierra is a career .500 hitter (8-for-16) against Minnesota starter Phil Hughes.
Sierra doesn't play every day, so fantasy owners will need to check the starting lineup before considering him, but he is batting .333 over the past two weeks and has a favorable matchup.
Sierra doubles, homers as White Sox top Jays | 06/29/2014 3:48 PM
Moises Sierra went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Sunday's win over the White Sox.
It was a rare sighting of offense from Sierra, who has played sparingly this season. He took Mark Buehrle out to left field in the fourth inning for his second home run of the season. Sierra also doubled and scored in the ninth, helping the White Sox add some late insurance runs. Sierra, who was selected by the White Sox off of waivers from the Blue Jays in early May, is slashing .278/.303/.417 with five RBI in 76 plate appearances with his new team.
Moises Sierra delivers game-winner | 05/28/2014 11:23 PM
Moises Sierra singled in pinch-runner Leury Garcia in the bottom of the ninth to give the White Sox a 3-2 win over the Indians on Wednesday.
Sierra has been limited to playing against lefties lately, so this was just his second start in nine days. He's hitting .273 with four RBI in 44 at-bats as a member of the White Sox since being claimed off waivers from the Blue Jays on May 3. His role really shouldn't expand further, so his AL-only value is very limited.
Sierra records four-hit game in win over Cubs | 05/07/2014 12:37 AM
Moises Sierra went 4-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's win over the Cubs.
Sierra was designated for assignment just five days ago after getting two hits in his first 34 at-bats with the Blue Jays. On Tuesday, Sierra tripled that hit total. The four-hit game was also the first of his career.
White Sox add outfielder Moises Sierra | 05/03/2014 2:51 PM
White Sox claimed outfielder Moises Sierra off waivers from the Blue Jays.
With Jordan Danks set to take an expanded role in the White Sox outfield in Adam Eaton's absence, Sierra figures to become Alejandro De Aza's platoon partner and start against lefties. He's hit .238/.294/.426 with four homers in 101 at-bats versus southpaws in the majors. That's not great, but it makes him a better option than anyone the White Sox had in Triple-A.
Blue Jays designate Sierra for assignment | 05/01/2014 10:50 AM
Blue Jays designated OF Moises Sierra for assignment.
Sierra was batting .059 with a .145 OPS and nine strikeouts in 35 plate appearances this season for Toronto. The 25-year-old outfielder flashed decent power in the minors and could draw some interest on waivers.
Moises Sierra goes hitless again | 04/30/2014 11:45 PM
Moises Sierra went 0-for-4 in Wednesday's loss and is just 2-for-34 with one walk this season.
The Jays figure to keep their eyes open for a right-handed bat to replace Sierra on the roster. As much as he's struggling in Adam Lind's absence, they should consider start using Dioner Navarro and Josh Thole in the lineup together on occasion, with one DHing.
Moises Sierra likely to platoon with Lind | 12/06/2013 8:04 PM
According to Gregor Chisholm of MLB.com, Moises Sierra is the early favorite to platoon at first base with Adam Lind.
Mark DeRosa functioned as a platoon partner for Lind in 2013, but has since retired. The 25-year-old has played exclusively in the outfield during his major league career, but has begun taking grounders at first base in order to improve his versatility. Sierra is out of options, and may be squeezed off the roster if he can't make the transition.

Moises Sierra was hitless in four at-bats in his return to action Thursday.

Sierra fills up the stat sheet against Angels | 09/11/2013 10:07 PM
Moises Sierra went 3-for-4 with a stolen base and two runs scored against the Angels on Wednesday.
Sierra fell just a home run shy of the cycle, notching a single, double and his first triple of the season. The stolen base was also his first this year. The 24-year-old is hitting .291/.344/.545 through 55 at-bats, and with Jose Bautista done for the season he should see plenty of playing time down the stretch.

Moises Sierra (back) finished 0-for-4 in his return to the Blue Jays' lineup on Sunday.

He finished 3-for-5 with three RBI. It was Sierra's first home run of the season. Sierra is a career .222/.281/.358 hitter, but he's posted an .821 OPS in very limited action this season (13 games). There are worse options out there for desperate AL-only owners.

Blue Jays recalled OF Moises Sierra from Triple-A Buffalo.
He'll provide some depth in the depleted Blue Jays' outfield. Sierra was batting .261/.309/.422 with 11 home runs and 12 stolen bases in 100 games in Triple-A this year and could be of interest in AL-only fantasy leagues.

Mike Wilner on Twitter
