Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik told Jon Heyman of CBS Sports that the club has had continued dialogue with free agent Kendrys Morales.
New Mariners second baseman Robinson Cano has advocated for the club to bring back Morales, but Zduriencik said there's still a difference of opinion regarding the asking price. "It strictly has to do with where they're at (in negotiations) and where we're at," said Zduriencik. While re-signing Morales could help balance out the lineup, it would also create a bigger logjam with Justin Smoak, Corey Hart, and Logan Morrison. The market for Morales has been very quiet since the Orioles signed Nelson Cruz, so it's looking more and more like he could start the season without a home.
Matt Lindstrom (oblique) is expected to return to Cactus League action on Tuesday or Wednesday.

Lindstrom strained an oblique at the beginning of March but is almost over the injury. He threw a side session on Thursday in White Sox camp and reported no issues. The right-hander should be 100 percent by Opening Day.
