Jesse Crain (biceps) has yet to appear in an extended spring training game.
Crain is throwing off a mound but has yet to be cleared for game action. He'll eventually have to go on a rehab assignment after getting into some games at the Astros' spring training complex. Crain had been hoping for an early-to-mid-May return, and it's looking like he'll at least be on the latter end of that timetable.
Astros outfield prospect Delino DeShields Jr. was scheduled to resume baseball activities on Tuesday.
DeShields was diagnosed with a non-displaced fracture of his right cheekbone after being hit by a pitch last Friday. The Astros are unsure when he'll return to action. "With a non displaced fracture, sometimes those things can heal up pretty quickly," general manager Jeff Luhnow said. "We'll wait and see. He's going to start some activities as tolerated."
