A big-play possession receiver. Uses his well-sized frame and physicality to get open and employs elite leaping ability and good athleticism to make tough catches. Very elusive in the open field after the catch, piling up yards and making tacklers miss. Has a lot of red zone appeal.
Not a burner downfield and relies more on fakes and moves to get his yardage. Doesn't always catch away from his frame and sometimes fails to secure the ball with both hands. Would benefit from tightening up his fundamentals.
Possession wideout with pro starter potential.

Low reception expectations for Robinson | 07/20/2014 1:58 PM
ESPN Jaguars reporter Michael DiRocco believes "anywhere from 30-40 catches" would be a "very good season" for rookie Allen Robinson.
Indeed. Robinson is unlikely to play in two-wide sets -- he's behind Marqise Lee and Cecil Shorts -- and the Jaguars intend to lean on their Toby Gerhart-led run game this season. About 35 catches with a 15-plus yards-per-reception average would be a nice showing from Robinson, whose Dynasty outlook is far more enticing than his re-draft prospects. He's still only 20 years old.
Jags get 2nd-round WR Robinson signed | 06/24/2014 3:45 PM
Jaguars signed second-round WR Allen Robinson to a four-year contract.
The 61st pick in last month's draft, Robinson sat out most of the spring with a hamstring injury. Luckily for him, Cecil Shorts and Marqise Lee also missed a couple weeks each with hamstring and ankle issues, respectively. The three are expected to make up the Jaguars' three-wide set this season. Robinson and Lee will work on the outside, while Shorts gets more action out of the slot.
Jaguars rookie WR Robinson out 'a few weeks' | 06/02/2014 1:35 PM
Jaguars second-round WR Allen Robinson will miss "a few weeks" with a hamstring injury.

We presume he'll be fine by training camp in seven weeks, although hamstring injuries can linger. It's a setback for the promising rookie, who is trying to earn playing time in three-receiver packages behind Cecil Shorts, Marqise Lee, and Ace Sanders. We love Robinson's long-term ceiling, but don't have high expectations for his performance in re-draft fantasy football leagues.
Allen Robinson playing X at Jaguars OTAs | 06/01/2014 2:25 PM
The Jaguars are using Allen Robinson at X receiver during OTAs, with Marqise Lee at Z receiver.
The split end, or "X" is historically Cecil Shorts' position in the Jags' offense, with Justin Blackmon at Z. Blackmon is obviously out of the picture. It appears Robinson would have to beat out Shorts for significant rookie-year playing time. And that's very unlikely to happen. Robinson is more of a Dynasty league than re-draft asset, but we are very intrigued by his long-range upside.
